STEP 1: CHoose a boot
- Start with a high-top boot for ankle support.
- Avoid cheap, unknown brands under $70-$80.
- Trusted brands: Riedell, Sure-Grip, Edea, VNLA...
STEP 2: Select a Toe Stop
- Use large, adjustable toe stops for easier stopping.
- Switch to jam plugs as you advance for more tricks.
STEP 3: Pick Your Wheels
- Hard wheels for smooth indoor rinks.
- Softer wheels for outdoor surfaces.
STEP 4: CHoose a PLATEs
- Nylon plates are lighter and cheaper
- Metal plates are durable for aggressive skating.
- Make sure bearings fit your axle size (7mm or 8mm).
- Clean and lubricate bearings regularly
